Summer time berries: does it get much better than that?
 

Berry Chia Jam is a favorite summer dessert of ours, taken straight from our July 14-day Whole Food Detox program.

So before these berries are out of season, hop on it and give this recipe a go!

All you need is a mason jar, chia seeds, and fresh berries (blueberries, raspberries, and/or raspberries).

With the hot summer sun, who doesn’t love the refreshing taste of ice cream?
 

We sure do.  But we don’t love the bloat that sometimes comes along with yogurt or ice cream.

Today we’re sharing a gluten free, vegan, dairy free, and raw ice cream recipe.

 

 
Strawberry Ice Cream (DF, GF, V)
 

Ingredients

1 C strawberries

3 bananas

 

Process

1. Peel, chop, and freeze bananas

2. De-stem, chop, and freeze strawberries

3. Once frozen, blend the bananas and strawberries in a high speed blender

 

Optional:  Add a touch of water, almond milk, or coconut milk (the thick, fatty part!) to create a desired consistency.

Raw Zucchini Soup
 

Raw soups, in the summer time, are the ultimate quick meal.

And zucchinis make for a nice raw soup base.

 

 

Ingredients:

4 raw zucchinis

1 onion

2 celery stalks

1 Tbsp. Olive oil

water or broth to cover 1/4 of

optional:  dill

 

 

 

Process:

Peel and chop the zucchinis and onion.  Chop the celery.  Place all vegetables into a high speed blender.

Add liquid to cover 1/4 of the vegetables. Blend and enjoy.

Note:  add more liquid or olive oil for desired consistency.

1/2 C cooked quinoa
1 avocado, chopped
Bunch of cilantro, chopped
1/2 Black beans
3 tbsp. hemp hearts
Juice of 1/2 lime
Sea salt to taste

Optional:
